Nick has been supporting clients through the energy transition for over 15 years both in Australia and internationally. With consulting experience across the energy value chain, Nick’s area of focus is advising renewable energy clients on the critical commercial elements of their large-scale generation and battery projects, ensuring projects can attract lenders and optimise returns for shareholders. He complements this commercial work with extensive experience in the grid connection process, helping clients to connect their projects faster, with less risk and at lower cost.

Nick has held roles with Marchment Hill Consulting, Accenture’s strategy division, Saha International / Deloitte and AGL. He brings a collaborative approach to working with teams and clients, a passion to support the energy transition and a drive to do good for the planet and for people

  • Development of business cases feasibility studies, detailed financial modelling, risk assessments, PPA offtake strategies, debt/equity optimisation and M&A due diligence.
  • Grid connections support, particularly facilitating early-stage collaboration between project developers, NSPs and AEMO to de-risk later stages of the grid connections process.
  • Facilitation of industry-wide collaboration and co-design programs. Examples include AEMO and the CEC’s Connections Reform Initiative (CRI), as well as EnergyCo’s REZ grid connection process and development of the fixed REZ Access Standards for Central-West Orana (CWO).
  • Degrees in Commerce (Strategy) and Science (Biochemistry & Molecular Biology) with first class honours from Melbourne University.
