Equinor is actively involved in offshore wind development across various locations including the UK, US, Europe, and South Korea, and is recognized as the world’s top floating offshore wind developer and operator. Its projects include the world’s first floating wind farm, Hywind Scotland (30MW), and Hywind Tampen (88 MW) off the Norwegian coast, which will become the world’s biggest floating offshore wind farm by 2022. Equinor made its debut in the Australian offshore wind industry in August 2022 by investing in three proposed offshore wind farms by Oceanex Energy in New South Wales.
