Energise Renewables at Offshore Wind Australia 2024

Last week, four of our Energise Renewables team members, Clémence Soret , Jonas Jacobsen, Matthew Boustead, and Raquel Carter were in Sydney to attend Offshore Wind Australia.
It was a fantastic opportunity to engage with industry leaders and exchange ideas on the future of offshore wind in Australia.
Raquel Carter joined a panel session along with Panel chair (Peter Doyle – BMT); RPS (Jeremy Fitzpatrick), Xodus (Naomi Kerp), ERM (@Mark Davey), BMT and GHD (Paul Nichols) to discuss the challenges and opportunities ahead for assessing and managing environmental impacts of the offshore renewable energy sector. Key discussion points were centered around scientific uncertainty, nature positive design, decommissioning, Sea Country and underwater noise mitigation.

Matthew Boustead joined a panel session along with Aurecon (@Billy Mullin), Oceon Energy (Jordan Glanville), Phillip Riley (@Chris Ward), BMT (Hossein Agheshlui, PhD ) and GHD (Alun Williams) to discuss the practical issues in designing, building and operating offshore wind farms. Matt provided insights into the local learnings from allied industries that must be combined with expertise from more established global markets to deliver success in Australia.
We’re proud to see our team contributing to critical industry conversations and driving innovation in the sector.
