Meet Sarah Heaton, who has recently joined Energise as our Offshore Approvals and Marine Ecology Specialist! We’re excited to have her on board.
With a strong background in marine ecology and offshore project approvals, Sarah brings valuable expertise to our growing team, supporting the development of sustainable offshore energy projects.
We caught up with Sarah to learn a bit more about her:
Fun fact/hobby: Sarah once won ‘Best Cup of Tea Maker’ in her previous role (possibly for quantity over quality!) and has an impressively deep knowledge of how to brew the perfect cup. She’s also an avid sea swimmer and loves all things ocean-related.
Favourite part of your job: “Getting to know the team here at Energise and being shown all the local spots around town has been a highlight. I’ve also really enjoyed diving into the Australian offshore wind space — coming from the UK, it’s been fascinating to learn about the challenges and opportunities for the industry here.”
What are you looking forward to at Energise? “I’m excited to get stuck into the variety of work here at Energise, both within Australia and internationally. I’m also looking forward to being part of conversations across the industry and helping tackle complex environmental challenges in the renewable energy space.”
