Mistral Energy

Promoting itself as the ‘‘Out-of-Sight’ floating offshore wind project developer focused on Australia’s highest value wind resources, Mistral is a consortium lead whose partners include Deloitte Australia and Clough Group (EPCI contractor). Although no project proposals have been released they highlight the wind potential in the Bass Strait as their primary (three projects with a total capacity of 11GW) focus followed by Newcastle and Illawarra (NSW), and Perth and Kwinana (WA). In a media release (12 October 2022) Mistral state “Mistral Energy is planning to participate in the upcoming Feasibility Licence application round for the Federal Government’s Gippsland offshore wind zone.”
