SSE Renewables, a subsidiary of the UK Based SSE plc, are a renewable energy developer with an operational renewables portfolio of over 4 GW spread across Europe, Asia and the USA. They also have a significant development pipeline of over 13 GW of renewable energy projects across multiple continents. In 2023, SSE Renewables turned their attention toward the Australian offshore wind market, forming a 50/50 consortium with Singapore-based Equis Development to submit a bid for a feasibility licence in the Gippsland offshore wind zone.
