Corio Generation

Corio Generation is Macquarie Group’s offshore wind business that operates as a portfolio company of GIG. Despite being established in March 2022, Corio Generation has access to Macquarie Group’s long-term capital and offshore wind expertise, which allows it to operate independently. Corio Generation oversees the development of GIG’s offshore wind investments in the UK, South Korea, and Taiwan. Corio Generation is developing two offshore wind farms with a proposed capacity of 4GW, both located off the coast of Gippsland. Corio Generation secured $16.1m in funding from the Victorian Government for pre-feasibility studies for the Great Southern project. They have a small team in Melbourne (VIC) and are actively recruiting, with their leadership located in APAC.
