Energise Renewables at Energy Exchange Australia 2025

14 March 2025 | Energise Renewables

On March 13, our Head of WA and Environment, Raquel Carter, presented at Energy Exchange Australia 2025 as part of the Offshore Wind, Wave & Tidal session.

Raquel’s talk, “Acoustic Sound in Offshore Wind: Testing, Mitigation and Regulatory Opportunities,” focused on the critical role of underwater noise management in the concept select and early engineering stages. Addressing these challenges early helps minimise risks, improve environmental outcomes, and streamline project approvals—a key factor for responsible offshore wind development.

She was in great company with experts discussing key innovations in offshore wind:
🔹 Owen Pocock (CEng MIMechE) (2h Offshore) – CAPEX savings through sub-structure design
🔹 Sean Van Steel (Coremarine) – Power cable design optimisation for floating wind
🔹 Jana Orszaghova (UWA) – Wind, solar & wave energy complementarity in WA

Thanks to Ashley Duncan (TechnipFMC) for chairing this insightful discussion! Events like these are crucial for sharing knowledge and driving sustainable offshore energy solutions.
